We’re looking forward to being together this Sunday! We wanted to give everyone a quick heads-up that the IRONMAN RACE is happening in Richland this Sunday, September 20, and it will bring several road closures, lane restrictions, and traffic delays throughout the Tri-Cities.
Our Sunday service is still happening at 10:00 AM!
Because the bike course travels through Richland, West Richland, and the surrounding area, we encourage everyone to plan ahead, leave home earlier than normal, and give yourself extra time to get to LIFECHURCH7.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The race begins early Sunday morning, with traffic impacts expected from approximately 6:00 AM–1:00 PM.
Stevens Drive and Highway 240 will have traffic restrictions from approximately 6:30 AM–12:30 PM.
Keene Road and portions of West Richland will also experience significant restrictions.
Those traveling from West Richland and South Kennewick should especially plan ahead and allow additional travel time.
Please follow all posted detours and the directions of traffic personnel and flaggers.
ALTERNATIVE ACCESS TO LIFECHURCH7
Because LIFECHURCH7 is located at Stevens Drive, our normal access from Stevens Drive may be impacted Sunday morning.
If you are unable to access the church from Stevens Drive, use Goethals Drive as an alternate route.
Come toward the church using Goethals Drive, near the Richland Skate Park, and access the church property from that side rather than trying to enter from Stevens Drive.
When you get close to the church, please watch for signs, cones, and traffic personnel. Race-day conditions may change as cyclists move through the course, so always follow the directions of flaggers.
COMING FROM WEST RICHLAND OR HORN RAPIDS?
Please expect additional delays and road restrictions Sunday morning. We recommend allowing plenty of extra travel time and avoiding impacted portions of the race route whenever possible. As you approach central Richland, Goethals Drive near the Richland Skate Park can be used as an alternate way to approach LIFECHURCH7 if Stevens Drive is inaccessible.
COMING FROM SOUTH KENNEWICK?
Several roads along the southern portion of the bike course will experience closures or restricted turns. Plan additional travel time and, as you approach central Richland, consider using Goethals Drive to approach LIFECHURCH7 rather than Stevens Drive.

Instead of stressing about getting here right at 10:00, come early! We’ll have coffee and some light snacks available before service.
